Guillaume Paradis - new owner of the Nordiques would like to announce the Guerin Sweepstakes are now open. Any reasonable offer considered. Rumor has it that Nords management is keen on prospects and/or draft picks due to the lack of youth on the team and the farm as well. Guerin is a big strong winger who is a consistent 35-40 goal scorer. He should remain there especially with modano feeding him the puck. A definite asset to any playoff team, or to any team, as there are only a handful of players in the NHL with his scoring consistency and ability

The leagues top team – the big bad chiefs are looking for an upgrade in their defense. Apparently a 38-5 record is still not satisfactory for the boys from Charlestown. One might speculate the recent moves by Reno combined with an 8 game winning streak have struck a little fear in the eyes of the Crowes. The Chiefs are looking to solidify their defense and penalty kill. They are willing to give up some youth to acquire a veteran d-man to fill their needs. Rumor has late blooming Chris Phillips as a potential candidate on the blocks. The former 1st overall pick is just starting to round out his game after struggling for several years. He is still very young and can prove to be a valuable commodity for any team. Of course having said that, will any team be willing to pay the price for this young talent?

January 25,2003 Pride The Pride after their disapointting start, due in large part because of being unable to change their lines for the first 20 games becaue the management team didn't know how to, conidered trading Cujo. His stalk is down becouse of his recent performance but he still has a good year left in him. "He won the cup for the Pride, he can win it for you", would have been the sales pitch. Also the Pride management team is heading to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietman for 6 weeks this Feb and March and won't be around. Due to recent great play however , the Pride are the 2nd hottest team in the league right now, have decided instead to make a run at repeating. Management is apparently sticking with the boys they got and are going to ride them into the finals

January 13,2003 Renegades News out of Reno is that Konowalchuk is being forced out. It appears that even his 4def and @ attributes don't fit in with the Reno system as he is stuck on the 4th line. He is a 20-25 goal scorer with selke type play. Rumor has it that Reno has expressed interest in Vaclav Prospal. No reports out of Mallardville though.
January 13,2003 Renegades Keeping with Reno – Milan Hedjuk also was rumored to be moved. Looking for a young stud defensemen in return. Of course with Hedjuk being on fire the last few weeks in the NHL – the asking price may be too high
January 13,2003 Brawlers Rumour has it the new owner of the Brawlers is considering a name change next year. He feels that the teams seem to have a tough gritty stigma attached to them and he wants his team known as a free wheeling team.
